Broctagon Fintech Group has pledged a donation of 58,000 surgical masks, in support of Contribute SG’s initiative, to the healthcare professionals and frontline workers fighting in the field of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
With nearly 2 million infected worldwide at the time of writing, resources are highly sought after and can be tough to obtain for those in need. As the COVID-19 becomes a global pandemic, it is also important to acknowledge those who have sacrificed their time, effort and personal safety to ensure the continuation of essential services.
We at Broctagon Fintech Group are very thankful that business operations are operating smoothly as usual for us, but not many can say the same. With Singapore headquarters as our home, we feel it’s important to give back to the society.
To express our gratitude to healthcare heroes fighting in the frontline of COVID-19, we would like to donate these masks to those in need. We’re in this fight together, and we can all help out during this trying time. With Singapore headquarters as our home, we are glad to movements such as Contribute. SG have been introduced to show the #SGUnited spirit.
Contribute.SG is a crowd-source initiative, passing on extra supplies of masks, sanitizers and other healthcare-related items to those in need. These contributions will help those in the Voluntary Welfare Organisation, Non-Governmental Organization, and medical institutions — where their current and usual supply chain has been disrupted and may have a hard time getting the supplies.
Here are the beneficiaries so far:
Bukit Batok Home for the Aged — 5,500 masks
5,500 masks go towards the healthcare professionals at this nursing home for the elderly, who display continuous dedication even in these times.
Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (HOME) — 20,000 masks
These masks will be donated to HOME, a non-governmental organization that provides services and advocates for migrant workers, and distributed to these workers for their safety.
